biography

Hows it goin? My names John Borchardt (boar-cart), im livin in maryland over here in the u.s. ive been playing music for about  6 years. And i  started to teach myself guitar about 2 years ago.

currently i play an epiphone les paul standard on an old crate.  (until i can get a better amp).

ok so heres my story

born in massechusetts, i grew up untill about i was about six, then my family packed up to move to missouri. i lived there for a while until my dad joined the military, so then i moved around alot but none that important until i moved to germany. i was in the 6th grade at the time and i decided to go out for begginers band.so i played the trombone (god i still suck at that thing) but what was important about this was my band instructor. he is the one who really got me into music. before i met him i had never considered the music field to be that serious. but see, every day after class, he would play one of his saxaphones, and this man could PLAY. i can still hear his sound in my head to this day. after hearing him i knew, i needed to be in this. so since then its been 7 or so years. Ive decided that after high school i want to become a recording engineer, hoping to make the craptastic music of today sound a little better. well thats me i look forward to meeting all kinds of aspireing musicians here on bandamp

EMG pickups

January 10th, 2007 + 1:01 PM  ·  johnofgod

So i've heard EMG makes really good active pickups, with, from what i understand, thier emg 81's and 85's being the best active pick-ups they have, i was just wondering if anyone know what their best humbucking passive pickups are.
